from americablog a link to a story in the washington post
describing how we effed up the construction of 142 heath centers across iraq - at the cost of MILLIONS of course. the health clinic construction project was awarded to parsons, inc. they have a total of approximately one BILLION dollars worth of total contracts in iraq. yup, let's just give 'em one BILLION dollars and have them walk away from their half assed never finished projects

My husband received a call from Halliburton the other day. They are looking for workers for one year contracts in Iraq. Offering big pay. No amount of assurances of safety can make this worthwhile. I can see now why Bush keeps coming back to Congress for more money, more, more. All down a bottomless hole.
i'm not a fan of wives telling husbands what to do and husbands telling wives what to do BUT TELL YOUR HUSBAND NOT TO GO TO IRAQ. NO MATTER WHAT.
damn you know the contractors are always getting nailed.
money isn't worth it. your family IS
This article was the first thing I read this morning and that began the usual slow shaking of the head followed by long cursing sentences. Have we done anything right over there?
i would imagine we did a few things right. we helped a few people. we did in viet nam too, but for the most part we just TORE IT TO SHREDS
