Right fears secret abortions for 13-year-olds in reform

Wednesday night brought the latest installment of everyone's favorite political drama: "Michele Bachmann tries to warn Americans about a threat that isn't real." Speaking on the floor of the House of Representatives, the Minnesota Republican warned parents everywhere that if Democrats' healthcare reform legislation passes, school clinics will become controlled by Planned Parenthood and turned into sex clinics that promote abortions free of parental consent for 13-year-old girls (video of Bachmann's comments is below).
Bachmann said:
And written in this bill is a provision whereby Planned Parenthood could become a proprietor for school-based clinics in every school across United States. These have been more accurately called school sex clinics ... And as a matter of fact, the bill goes on to say what's going to go on -- comprehensive primary health services, physicals, treatment of minor acute medical conditions, referrals to follow-up for specialty care -- is that abortion? Does that mean that someone's 13 year-old daughter could walk into a sex clinic, have a pregnancy test done, be taken away to the local Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, have their abortion, be back and go home on the school bus that night? Mom and dad are never the wiser...

Yes, legions of pregnant thirteen year old GIRLS from all over the country will be spirited away at NOON in BLACK MARIAS to the PLANNED PARENTHOOD BAT-CAVE, where they will have MASS VOODOO ABORTIONS and be returned in half an hour [that's the magic part - Ed.], and no one will ever be the wiser...only something will be different about them, but no one will know what it is UNTIL five years later THEY REGISTER TO VOTE!! At which point they will REGISTER DEMOCRAT and only then will the TRUE NATURE of Health Care Reform be revealed...
Seriously. This woman should try getting anything done at Planned Parenthood that might involve something more than the application of a band-aid... And being back in time to catch the school bus? Yeah, good luck with that...first fill out these fifty million forms and then watch this mandatory forty minute video about how to put a condom on a banana...because that might come in handy in certain admittedly unusual circumstances...
you know stray i can't even blame her. she is what she is (and we both know what that is). it's the PEOPLE WHO EFFING ELECTED HER (i think it was more than once too). that's who i blame and who i'm mad at
Weeelllll, of course you're right. The good people who elected her probably burned down the clinic, and so have never had the "Get to Know Our Wallpaper" PP experience. :-)
