Very freaky indeed!!
I would have to say that growing up, there were two clowns that scared me the most.
The first was that damn toy clown in Poltergeist. Extremely scary and he tried to choke a child to death. Ugh.
The other was Pennywise in the Stephen King book IT. The television movie sucked out loud and wasn't the slightest bit scary....but reading the book made him the most scary monster ever. Big time!
all clowns were and are equally scary to me.
halloween is my favorite holiday but do NOT come anywhere near me if you have a mask on OR if you have enough makeup on to disguise yourself (i don't count. i can wear all the masks and makeup i want)
i didn't read it. i'm not a big stephen king fan (well, let me 'splain. i LIKE stephen king, i just don't think he writes that well. i LOVE his stories. i read the stand and enjoyed that. perhaps i'll give him another try)
Looking at the sheer AMOUNT of books he's written.....sure, some of them are certainly better than others.
The Stand would be, without a doubt, his best.
IT is pretty darn good....although somewhat goofy down the final stretch. But ultimately worth it because Pennywise is just that damn scary.
i'll give it a try.
