more (and it's hard to believe it's 2009 sometimes)

why are we allowing ourselves to be portrayed in the media like this? i've posted many times on burger king, bacardi and more. how they portray women. how they objectify and sex-i-fy us (tis ok to be 'sexy' but NOT how THEY are doing it. a bunch of ad MEN fucking with our images. not just no but HELL NO

let's stop this disgusting shite. i can't stop eating at carl jrs for a couple of reasons. 1) i don't think there are any in connecticut and 2) i'm vegan

ok my sisters and brothers. we buy fast food sometimes (well some of us do). let's NOT buy carl's jr (or burger king for that matter). if enough of us STOP buying their products perhaps they'll get the idea that women want to be seen as more than HOT OR NOT HOT (chicks). that women have feelings and brains and are not there simply as an image to be masterbated at or to

Carl's Jr. seeks "Hot Chicks Eating Burgers" on craigslist
Samhita linked to this campaign briefly last week, but we've got more to say about this.

That's right, folks. A reader alerted us to this craigslist ad casting call from Carl's Jr. and Hardee's burgers telling women that they could win $1,000 and a trip to Vegas if they submit a video of themselves eating one of their burgers and is "hot" enough for their marketing campaign.

Between Burger King's recent sick tactics and Carl's Jr. history of substituting women as meat in their ads, I don't think I'll be eating a burger for quite some time.

Carl's Jr.'s tagline is literally "More than just a piece of meat." So let's send them an email letting them know what that actually means to us. Or perhaps we can think of a good counter-campaign by sending them videos of what we really think of Carl's Jr. Any bright ideas?.........

This early I have no bright ideas. Wish I did. Wish I could I would boycott the chains...but we already don't eat out at either chain.

I don't eat fried foods, drink sodas or eat much fast food to begin with, if I do, I often grab a salad or baked potato if in a pinch when out and have no other choice.

It does get old and you would think that by now in this day and age...but no.

Huh, my captcha is persan...almost "person"

i don't eat fast food. i try to avoid fried foods BUT my friends own a pub and i'll have fries (with vegetarian chili on them) every once in a while. i try to avoid soda but i'll have 1/2 oj and 1/2 ginger ale when i'm at the pub. never keep the stuff at home nor do i ever fry at home

can't boycott carl's jr cause there isn't one here (and i wouldn't have eaten at it any way). but i certainly can say i think they're a bunch of ass wipes
