roy buchanan - musician of the day

he is my favorite guitarist. he far outplayed anyone i have heard live or on vinyl or disc. (to this day i wonder why clapton is as famous as he is. oh he's ok, but he is NOT great by ANY means). roy committed suicide. he was in jail (NOT prison, JAIL) for drunk and disorderly. he hung himself. my favorite song by him is the messiah will come again. he plays notes in that song that simply don't exist in real life. every time i hear him, my spirit is uplifted. rest in peace roy. oh, i almost forgot to add this, when brian jones 'died' (murdered is more like it), the rolling stones asked roy to join them. he politely turned them down. he had to spend the time with his family
