Bangladesh Rocked by Bomb Attacks

DHAKA, Bangladesh (AP) -- Dozens of small bombs blasts targeting mainly government offices and court buildings exploded in cities across Bangladesh on Wednesday, wounding at least 17 people, police said.
Authorities said the extent of the damage wasn't immediately known. The bombs appeared to be homemade and capable of causing only limited damage, they said.
''It's an organized attack,'' senior Home Ministry official Lufuzzaman Babar told ATN Bangla television station. ''It's not a simple incident.''
Police in the capital, Dhaka, were deployed to major intersections after the explosions and were checking vehicles and pedestrians for bombs.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blasts, which hurt at least 17 people, but leaflets from a banned Islamic group, the Jumatul Mujahedin, were found at the scene of explosions in Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet and Mymensingh, the Bangladeshi media reported.........
