Frist backs 'intelligent design' teaching

i get so very frightened every time i read about one of these good ol' boys and their beliefs. keep it in your churches (and i'm NOT knocking churches by the way) but keep it OUT of our school systems. there is a SEPARATION of church and state. teach what you want in private schools or your church schools and classes but keep the crap OUT of our public schools.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Echoing similar comments from President Bush, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said "intelligent design" should be taught in public schools alongside evolution.
Frist, R-Tenn., spoke to a Rotary Club meeting Friday and told reporters afterward that students need to be exposed to different ideas, including intelligent design.
"I think today a pluralistic society should have access to a broad range of fact, of science, including faith
," Frist said................

i agree with frist in that we SHOULD expose our students to a broad range of different ideas of FACT AND SCIENCE. but here is the separation point - NOT fantasy (in a science or history class).
