this really IS one of THE most offensive

things i've seen those asswipes do

More corporate sponsored, right-wing anti-Semitism...

..............

No matter the issue, be it tax cuts for the middle class or health care for all, the stupid (and/or paid for) are out protesting against their own best interests.

But stupidity has crossed the line into offensive propaganda.

The photo was taken at today's glue-sniffer rally by ThinkProgress' Lee Fang. The sign above reads “National Socialist Health Care: Dachau, Germany – 1945."

Fox News has aggressively promoted this rally and its talking heads, like Glenn Beck, have aggressively tried to tie health care reform to Nazism. Americans for Prosperity, a corporate front-group sponsored this event.

Too bad for these right-wing haters that Hitler and the Nazis were fascists (right-wing), brought to power by corporate interests under the guise of "Socialism," because if this sign had some basis in fact it would at least be slightly less offensive and not so blatantly anti-Semitic.

But since this sign has no basis in fact and since Nazis were in fact right-wing; and since corporate interests now - just as then - had an interest in seeing piled up dead bodies, this sign is beyond offensive. This is in fact yet another display of the ignorant brandishing propaganda that is anti-Semitic and eagerly embraced as acceptable political talking points. This is not acceptable on any level................

Just to be clear, Dachau was built in 1933 as a prison for socialists and communists. Later they added Loyalist POWs from the Spanish Civil War, most of whom were socialists and communists. And then anyone else they didn't like. I do wish people would stop confusing "National Socialism" with socialism, it pisses on the memory of the murdered.

i think half of the people holding up signs like that don't even believe there was a dachau or death camps in general. none of that should ever be forgotten OR taken lightly.

there is STILL genocide happening and we're STILL allowing it.

to compare our current administration to that is more than offensive

Ooh, now there's a good point!

amazing but true. there are those who believe it never happened (mel gibson or at the very least his father).

oh and i don't want anyone to ever forget what turkey did to the armenians either. turkey either denies it or sweeps it under the rug. that just won't do
