Well, I guess we saw this coming. Have I ever mentioned that Alito's daughter and mine go to the same high school? It's one media circus after another for my kids, I'll tell ya.
I think the strategy behind the Harriet Myers incident is pretty clear now, huh? They disassociated their real guy from the more lunatic right by letting the loonies play themselves, beating up on that poor woman. This took the loonies out of the game, dampening support for opposition to Alito. The president's keepers are not as dumb as he looks.
