Witch-Regulation Bill Fails to Pass in Romania


Romanian lawmaker Alin Popoviciu is blaming fear for the failure of a bill he sponsored that would have imposed new regulations and taxes on witches and fortune tellers.  He claimed that the legislation had failed because lawmakers were afraid they would be cursed if they passed it.
The bill, drafted by Popoviciu and his colleague Cristi Dugulescu, was designed to help increase tax revenue by tightening regulations on witches and fortune tellers, who are apparently among the many groups dodging taxes in Romania.  ...............

hmmmm. one used to be able to drive somewhere in connecticut to a 'reservation' (and i use that term VERY loosely) and buy cheap cigarettes. i never did it and i'm uncertain if it still exists. it had NOTHING to do with the casinos. it was very pre-casino i believe
