what would scare YOUR child more

being shouted at by a catholic schoolgirl OR being blown up by an ied?
(not saying a mass or a worship service of any kind is the right place to protest. i'm not saying it's not either. i wasn't there. i'm saying i rather admire these catholic schoolgirls though!)
Protesting war, 'Catholic Schoolgirls' disrupt Easter Mass
Six Iraq war protesters disrupted an Easter Mass on Sunday, shouting and squirting fake blood on themselves and parishioners in a packed auditorium.
Three men and three women startled the crowd during Cardinal Francis George's homily, yelling "Even the Pope calls for peace" as they were removed from the Mass by security guards and ushers.
One Mass attendee, Mike Wainscott of Chicago, yelled at the anti-war protesters.
"Are you happy with yourselves?" he said. "There were kids in there. You scared little kids with your selfish act. Are you happy now?"
The group, which calls itself Catholic Schoolgirls Against the War, said in a statement after the arrests that they targeted the Holy Name Cathedral on Easter to reach a large audience, including Chicago's most prominent Catholic citizens and the press, which usually covers the services.......

The more I contemplate my own childhood and the state of the nation, the more I agree with Richard Dawkins who says that it's child abuse to raise your children as believing Christians (or Jews or Muslims for that matter).

i don't have a problem with presenting religion to children as long as they are given a choice when they're old enough. the human race is afraid of the unknown. religion comforts us (well, not US, you and i). i DO have problems with HOW religion is presented. a hate filled god who will smite down anyone who doesn't believe what the particular humans of that particular sect believe. that is NOT a god i would choose.
