the video is at the link below. it is in no way shape or form EASY to hear OR watch. the worse part is the couple's 13 year old son is filming it AND their younger son is also in the room.

Here's an interesting video that I grabbed from Echidne. Warning: It's really distressing -- in part, it's a video a man made his son take of him beating his wife. What's fascinating is it really shows how justified abusers feel about their behavior. The end part is interesting, too, since they interview the judge on this case.

If I ever tried any behavior like that, GF would tear me apart and then would she leave me? No, she'd kick my ass out.
These men and their power trips, their horrible, abusive, brutal power trips. Makes me sick.
Do you ever feel like this nation is being abused and we're being filmed while it happens?
rick the worse part was the child filming it. i only hope he doesn't end up like his father. i hope he understands what his father was doing was more than wrong.
that judge was AMAZING. it NEVER happens that way. men RARELY do REAL TIME when they abuse (unless there is death). well even look at joel steinberg. he KILLED his child and beat his live in, hedda, so badly you would never even recognize who she was. HE IS OUT
we cannot let women be subhuman or have less worth then men. it's ALL of our responsiblities
