the mind boggles

a review of the case of the man who ASSAULTED A 13 YEAR OLD GRRRL leaves it at him NOT doing ANY jail time.

why? because HE'S TOO F**KING SHORT. oh there are other reasons. such as a study of this dude which says he is 'likely not' to reoffend. SO THE F**K WHAT? he assaulted a 13 year old grrrl. i'm not talking about a 13 year old grrrl and a 14 year old boy touching each other here. i'm talking about a GROWN man (no pun intended) and a 13 year old grrrl.

Appeals court upholds probation for 5-foot-1 sex offender

BY LESLIE REEDWORLD-HERALD BUREAU

LINCOLN — A three-judge Nebraska Court of Appeals panel Tuesday upheld the 10-year intensive probation sentence of a Sidney, Neb., man for molesting a 13-year-old girl.

In giving Richard Thompson probation rather than prison, District Judge Kristine Cecava had said she feared for Thompson's safety in prison because of his small stature. Thompson, 52, is 5-foot-1 and weighs about 100 pounds.Attorney General Jon Bruning had appealed that sentence as being excessively lenient.Bruning said he planned to ask the Nebraska Supreme Court to review the panel's ruling because he believes sexual assault of a child is a serious offense that warrants jail time."The law does not impose a height requirement for jail," Bruning said.In a 27-page opinion written by Judge Richard Sievers, the appeals court said Cecava's sentence was justified by many factors cited in Thompson's presentence investigation. Those factors included a psychological evaluation and a "Sexual Adjustment Inventory" administered by his probation officer. They indicated that Thompson is not a pedophile and is not likely to reoffend.............

this is a travesty of justice. i don't care if this man is not 'likely' to reoffend or not. HE WAS CONVICTED OF ASSAULTING A 13 YEAR OLD GRRRL. what, her life being f**ked up isn't worth a little jail time? guess not.

I think it is outrageous that rape and assault are becoming more...acceptable? Versus the other way around? Which is what I conclude when I see the public react so stupidly to justice matters. We don't seem to take this seriously.

Talk about a sin. This decision is insane. So it's okay basically to assault a child if you're short?

we, grrrls and women are obviously worth less than boys and men

look at the rape case where the words rape, victim, assault, rape kit, etc cannot be used. why? because it would prejudice the jury.

so does that mean if someone is charged with robbery they cannot use the words robbery or thief?
