so, i went to his blog to check it out. i must admit i only read two or three sentences and i started to gag. i SHOULD have known better but i looked at his blog links and chose one to peruse. it was written by a woman and the name made me want to check it out (i SHOULD have known i tell ya). what i saw was so horrid, so hateful, so closed-minded. it was unbelievable. (no, i didn't read the post in it's entirety)
she 'went off' on the cnn report of the fbi findings at gitmo. she named a few of the minor transgressions and called the 'terrorists' crybabies.
what she doesn't understand (obviously) is VERY FEW of these people are indeed CONVICTED CRIMINALS. some don't even have charges against them. how can you treat someone like that? how can WE expect to be treated fairly when WE are captured?
i am ALL FOR locking up the guilty (including those who bomb abortion clinics, shoot doctors, bomb federal buildings in oklahoma) and making them pay for their crimes.
i would have thought those that get on their soapboxes and proclaim themselves to be 'christian' would NOT wish torture on anyone. ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO HAVE NOT BEEN PROVEN GUILTY OF ANY CRIME(S).

The nutters are everywhere.
Gitmo is an illegal prison without using common law as a basis for treatment or redress.
Further, it's on a base in a country that doesn't want it there, making it an illegal invasion. Castro has formerly petitioned for the removal of U.S. forces from his nation several times but we stay there by threat of force.
i still to this day cannot believe we are on cuba.
as if us being on puerto rico (testing weapons and the like) wasn't bad enough
