Manchester Democrats consider chastising Lieberman
MANCHESTER -- With several members upset with Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman's stance on the war in Iraq, the Democratic Town Committee plans to hold a special meeting to discuss the issue.
At the meeting, which likely will be held this month, the committee will decide whether to send Lieberman's office a formal letter stating its displeasure and opposition to the senator's stance.

Complaints about Lieberman and his public support for the war were brought up by Joseph Rafala at the end of Thursday's town committee meeting.He said he wanted to send a letter from the committee, stating that "as Democrats, we don't like what he's doing and we want him to know it."Instead of maintaining a Democratic antiwar position, Rafala said, Lieberman was becoming an example for Republicans as a Democrat for the war.............
