Shock Jock Encourages Listeners to Waste Energy to Wipe Out DNC's Green Efforts

In April, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) promised that the Democratic National Convention this week will be the “greenest, most sustainable” convention in history. The Democrats greening efforts include the use of biodegradable balloons and signage, an army of volunteers for recycling, and a calculation of the convention’s carbon footprint.

Responding to the Democrats’ efforts, conservative global warming denier Glenn Beck is mockingly calling on his listeners to participate in a “carbon ONset program” aimed at counteracting progressive efforts to offset the environmental impact of the convention. On his website, Beck is encouraging Americans to “use more energy for mother nature“:

What can you to help? Take part in our carbon ONset program. We are asking you to make just a few small sacrifices to completely wipe out any potential energy savings the Democrats claim credit for. (By ‘energy savings’, we mean buying their way out of the energy they’ll use by flying in tens of thousands of people to a city so they can announce Barack Obama as their candidate. Seems like most people already knew that, but I digress).

Sign up for our carbon ONset program. Use more energy for mother nature. Do it for the earth (or more accurately, the people living on it.)...........

They are going to be so upset."
Limbaugh went on to claim: "[T]his is what the Democrat Party has sown ... The blacks one part of the constituency, the women another part. And both of them think they're owed this by the party, and if whoever doesn't get this -- the Hillary side, the Obama side -- they're going to think the party screwed them." .........

NEW YORK In her latest column, conservative firebrand Ann Coulter sort of compares Barack Obama's first book to Adolf Hitler's "Mein Kampf."The piece, posted starting last night on Coulter's Web site, is headlined "Obama's Dimestore 'Mein Kampf.'" Coulter says of the Democratic candidate's "Dreams From My Father" autobiography: "Has anybody read this book? Inasmuch as the book reveals Obama to be a flabbergasting lunatic, I gather the answer is no. Obama is about to be our next president: You might want to take a peek. If only people had read 'Mein Kampf.'"The weekly Universal Press Syndicate columnist goes on to slam Obama for the complaints about racism he included in his 1995 book. "Forget Rev. Jeremiah Wright -- Wright is Booker T. Washington compared to this guy," Coulter concludes.Back in 2005, Coulter was among the many conservatives criticizing U.S. Sen. Richard Durbin (D-Ill.) for using a Nazi comparison when discussing America's treatment of Guantanamo prisoners.......

we idolize. we give a radio show to - that MILLIONS (allegedly) listen to. yet another thing i don't understand. every once in a while, i accidentally hear him. if i'm in my car at 3:00 pm, i listen to colin mcenroe. he comes on right after flush. if i'm just a tad early tuning in, i hear his blow-hearted self-absorbed steamin' piece o' shite voice. ewwwwwwwww just gives me the chills thinking about it. he talks like he owns the world. in his mind i really think he believes it. remember this is the man that said ALL people who do drugs should be in jail. (and he did 'em but he didn't do time). remember this is the man who got a draft deferment because of a disability (yet he's out there on the golf course ALL of the time. hey is he the one with the pig-tail?)

Coon, who earlier that day shot four people at his Cleveland high school before killing himself, Fox News host John Gibson asserted that "because the school is very heavily African-American, I did leap to a conclusion" that "the shooter might have been African-American." Gibson went on to say that he "knew this was not a classic hip-hop shooting" once he learned Coon killed himself. Gibson continued: "Hip-hoppers do not kill themselves. They walk away. Now, I didn't need to hear the kid was white with blond hair. Once he'd shot himself in the head, no hip-hopper." Gibson later stated, "I know the shooter was white. I knew it as soon as he shot himself. Hip-hoppers don't do that. They shoot and move on to shoot again." Gibson added: "I know there's a few of you who want to call me racist. But when you do, remind -- let me remind you, African-Americans are dying in major cities because people won't face this problem."......
