i guess the pope isn't a sticks and stones kind of dude

he's offended, his FEELINGS WERE HURT over some words. yet, he doesn't really seem to have too very many effing issues over real EVIL TRAGIC TORTUROUS ACTIONS against the priests who assaulted children. someone please explain that one to me. please.

this is beyond belief. the church is OFFENDED OVER WORDS. yet they try to bury abuse. when that doesn't work, they blame the victims. when that doesn't work they blame the jews. when that doesn't work they blame gays. when that doesn't work they blame the devil.

FUCK they blame everyone BUT THEIR OWN FUCKING GUILTY SELVES

Pope 'could cancel UK visit' over 'offensive' Foreign Office memo

By Gordon Rayner and Nick Pisa in Rome

Senior Papal aides suggested the Foreign Office had not taken strong enough disciplinary action against those responsible for the document, which suggested the Pope should open an abortion clinic, bless a homosexual marriage and launch his own range of condoms while he is here.

No-one has lost their job over the memo, which was sent to Downing Street and at least three Whitehall departments, and the civil servant who authorised it has simply been moved to other duties.

One highly-placed source in the Vatican said: “This could have very severe repercussions and is embarrassing for the British government - one has to question whether the action taken is enough.

“It is disgusting. Britain’s ambassador to the Holy See has been in to see the Secretary of State and explain what happened and this will all be relayed to the Pope...........

Clearly some Foreign Office juvies should grow up -- creating International Incidents is a matter for Responsible Adults like George Dubya, not for pimply little squits like that lot...How do you tell the difference? Hell, I dunno -- Anyway that doesn't mean the Vatican has to go all North Korea on Downing Street's culo...which they probably won't, in the end. Unless the Archbishop of Canterbury makes some uber-snarky counter commentary, which is...well, fairly likely, these days.
