Yeah, I'd be very surprised if anyone falls for his, shall we say, "changes of heart" on key NY issues. Given that only Dems can vote in the primary, it's the party base he has to win, and Gillibrand's pro-gun thing hasn't pissed them off nearly enough to make them vote for a carpet-bagging blue dog poseur.
I hope, anyway...
