here's the deal

years and years ago pbs had a show on about the hymn amazing grace (hosted by bill moyers no less). i hate to use this word but i will. it was AMAZING.

someone who was a slave owner/slave trader wrote that song. oh he wrote it AFTER he saw the light acquired grace.

i believe in miracles. i believe (some) people CAN and DO change. i believe people sometimes get grace. i believe there are people who genuinely care so much it hurts them.

i think teddy kennedy was someone who was lost but became found. i think he was blind but eventually was able to see

(he doesn't start singing until 5:26)

Sweet.
And so true about Ted Kennedy. I hate how folks are so quick to point out the bad and forget all of the GOOD that man did. And hey, that family has not had it easy at all. My Goddess, to finally be laid to rest next to your two slain older brothers who died 40 years ago? To have the whole world watch every painful private moment.

But look at all the good he did for the disabled, the under privileged...the down trodden.

Yes, he got grace and now hopefully peace. But it just seems like he went to soon. He had so much life left in him.
