You know, with all this idle chit chat about assassinating the President, can we just remind everyone that the Previous (ahem) Administration had the Secret Service investigating a bunch of kids for playing "Masters of War" at a high school Battle of the Bands. So let's review:

what would have happened if those kids were (legally) carrying ak-47s at a bush rally i wonder???????????????????

I don't understand why folks can threaten the this president and still walk freely but not the last one? If anyone even whispered a threat to/about Bush, they would vanish and land up in jail. Now, anyone can say anything or do what they want and there are not consequences. I am all for freedom of speech, but I think some of these folks are really stepping over the line and need to be bitch slapped. I don't care if the president is an asshole or a great president, even when Bush was in office, I would call him an idiot, among many other things...but I would never threaten to kill him or anyone else. That is just wrong.
I would like to see him brought to trial however. I do believe he broke a lot of laws and needs to held accountable for them.

i believe to threaten a president is a crime. i also wholeheartedly (like you) believe if ANY prez is threatened - that threat and the person or people who made it MUST be investigated
