ken krayeske or anything.....
do you REALLY believe a white woman would have gotten TWO YEARS for tossing a paper cup full of ice (where NO ONE was hurt)???
i sure don't believe that. PLUS her military husband IS IN IRAQ FOR HIS THIRD TOUR. PLUS she served nearly two months (for that paper cup full of ice).
yes, a judge finally let her out (suspended the rest of the sentence pending five years good behavior) but now she is a CONVICTED FELON. yes, a cup of ice. perhaps she didn't use the best judgment. BUT FIVE YEARS AND a convicted FELON? no, it's not right
Judge Cuts Sentence In Flying Cup Case
Freedom Delayed By Miss. Warrant

Less than an hour after a judge decided yesterday that Jessica Hall had been punished enough for hurling a McDonald's cup full of ice at another driver, her family stood outside the jail, pacing near a white door on which a single word was written in black: RELEASE. It seemed more of a promise than a label.
Hall was supposed to walk through that door at that moment, was supposed to see her relatives excitedly waiting, was supposed to go home with them after spending nearly two months in jail. But she didn't, and because of yet another legal woe, the 25-year-old mother of three most likely won't be released until today................

How come Ballin wasn't charged with recklessness. Certainly drivers like him, who are self-absorbed and indifferent to those that share "his" roads with him, instigate most of these incidents. Cutting in and out of traffic brings the potential for much damage. And, it will enrage even the most calm among us. If the prosecution was about "what if" then it applies more so to him because it is reckless driving that instigates the vast majority of these incidents. Punishment in these situations should work both ways because there is never an innocent party in road rage!
i'm guessing he may be white but i don't know.
some of the time, i think the 'black and or white' thing is an excuse. NOT this time. i really DO think she was railroaded.there is not a doubt in my mind people of color are treated differently and perceived differently
yeah, she shouldn't have thrown something into another car. but a FELONY? i am STILL in the state of disbelief.
i believe mr ballin did cut her off. he may very well not have known he did it. still his fault. it's our duty to be an alert driver. that means NO cell phones (there is a law against using a cell phone in a car in connecticut without a hands free device. i see TENS of people each day ignoring this law) and something as simple as turning your headlights on in inclement weather. it's raining out/snowing out here now. i came home about 15 mintues ago. several people didn't have their headlights on (that is a law in connecticut as well) and they were VERY hard to see. i'm not even going to go into people driving like maniacs OR the accident on avon mountain.........
oh i ramble
