Sneak Preview: A Fantastic New Way to Find Hot Music
By Eliot Van Buskirk
A new, playable music chart is like a Billboard chart for the P2P generation -- and you can play anything on it with a single click.

It would take an army of listeners to keep tabs on all the music being recorded and posted to MySpace, YouTube, BitTorrent and the like. How to filter it all?

We Are Hunted, a clean and simple music chart cuts to the chase. It tracks the most-favored music on P2P and social networks, Twitter, web forums and blogs. It then presents the 99 hottest tracks (according to its calculations) through an intuitive Brady Bunch-style interface. Best of all, it slaps a play button on each track. Clicking the play button starts the song playing right there on the page, using links to YouTube audio tracks, record label sites and other internet locations that the site's automated system finds online.............

we all know

bill o'wrongly is a steamin' pile
Last night, O'Reilly attacked companies doing business without Iran. But, once again, he left out his boss, Rupert Murdoch

Last month, AMERICAblog exposed yet another act of hypocrisy from Bill O'Reilly. We also showed he's a wimp who is afraid of his own boss:
Earlier this year, arm chair terrorism fighter
Bill O'Reilly blasted the chair of General Electric for doing business with terrorist countries like Iran. Bill was in rare form when he took on this issue. But, Bill needs to have on another guest and blast him for cavorting with Iranians and Syrians, possibly even aiding in the recruitment of terrorists and certainly facilitating the spewing of hatred against Israel. That guest would be Rupert Murdoch, the head of FOX News.Murdoch owns FOX, for whom O'Reilly works. Murdoch also owns MySpace.com. Therein lies the problem. An astute observer pointed us to some of the users of Mr. Murdoch's site. There are numerous users of MySpace.com in states that sponsor terrorism, like Iran, Syria and Sudan. That alone should warrant intervention from O'Reilly using his own standards for doing business with terrorist nations. But, that's not the biggest problem. It's the Web sites honoring terrorist organizations that give us pause. There is the self-described "Offical Hezbollah MySpace" page. ..............

i tube

they tube we ALL tube for YOUTUBE. once again, not news (because we know it's happening) but rather funny. i get hits from the pentagon, from military, from the senate and the like. now those are the ones that actually SHOW the source. i'm guessing the fbi and cia would mask their ip address (the pentagon too if they were actually spying on me). however, ALL of these sources have just as much right to read blogs as everyone else. just don't do it in a COVERT manner ok?
In search for foreign intelligence, spies turn to YouTube, MySpace, blogs
Nick Juliano
With rapidly advancing technology spreading across the globe, US spies are shifting their focus from surreptitiously photographing secret Soviet documents to trolling the Internet for what could be the next key nugget of foreign intelligence.
Among the most valuable sources, one top spook says, are blogs, MySpace and other Web 2.0 hallmarks.
"We're looking now at YouTube, which carries some unique and honest-to-goodness intelligence," Doug Naquin, director of the CIA's Open Source Center said in a recent speech to CIA retirees..............

MySpace deletes hacked Web site for atheists and agnostics
David BriggsPlain Dealer Religion Reporter
It isn't easy being godless online.
For the third time in three years, what may be the largest group of organized atheists in the world is struggling to stay on MySpace, said a Cleveland State University assistant professor who founded the site for nonbelievers.
MySpace deleted the 35,000-member "Atheist and Agnostic Group" on Jan. 1, a little more than a month after hackers broke in and renamed the group's site "Jesus Is Love," Bryan Pesta said Wednesday. .........................

this is one of THE most heinous acts

perpetrated by a non-king george court member, i've ever heard of. yet the woman who did it walks free. seems like she doesn't have any guilt either. she's directly linked to the death of a 13 year old girl. why do i keep wishing there IS a hell? so that people like lori drew would burn in it for eternity
(why the hell a 47 year old women is playing nasty 'tricks' on a 13 year old girl is beyond me. i just don't get it)
then, as if THAT weren't all bad enough, the perp's family had a foosball table stored at the home of the girl who committed suicide (as a DIRECT result of what the adult 47 year old woman did). the girl's family destroyed the TABLE and left the remants on the driveway of the 47 year old woman's family. THEY (the 47 year old woman's family) then called the police on the family of the girl who committed suicide. can you imagine the STONES to do that? to the meier family, i am so very sorry for your loss. i am so very sorry for the lack of justice as well

A Hoax Turned Fatal Draws Anger but No Charges
By CHRISTOPHER MAAG
DARDENNE PRAIRIE, Mo., Nov. 21 — Megan Meier died believing that somewhere in this world lived a boy named Josh Evans who hated her. He was 16, owned a pet snake, and she thought he was the cutest boyfriend she ever had.
Josh contacted Megan through her page on MySpace.com, the social networking Web site, said Megan’s mother, Tina Meier. They flirted for weeks, but only online — Josh said his family had no phone. On Oct. 15, 2006, Josh suddenly turned mean. He called Megan names, and later they traded insults for an hour.
The next day, in his final message, said Megan’s father, Ron Meier, Josh wrote, “The world would be a better place without you.”
Sobbing, Megan ran into her bedroom closet. Her mother found her there, hanging from a belt. She was 13.
Six weeks after Megan’s death, her parents learned that Josh Evans never existed. He was an online character created by Lori Drew, then 47, who lived four houses down the street in this rapidly growing community 35 miles northwest of St. Louis...........

.............Shortly before Megan’s death, the Meiers had agreed to store a foosball table the Drews had bought as a Christmas surprise for their children. When the Meiers learned about the MySpace hoax, they attacked the table with a sledgehammer and an ax, Ms. Meier said, and threw the pieces onto the Drews’ driveway.
“I felt like such a fool,” Mr. Meier said. “I’m supposed to protect my family, and here I allowed these people to inject themselves into our lives.”
The police learned about the hoax when Ms. Drew filed a complaint about the damage to the foosball table. In the report, she stated that she felt the hoax “contributed to Megan’s suicide, but she did not feel ‘as guilty’ because at the funeral she found out Megan had tried to commit suicide before.” ................
