is it april fool's day?

nope. and i think this is REAL

ok, here's the deal. customer service is VERY important to me. i also understand we all have an off day now and again. however, if someone is in a job where they deal with the public and they CONSISTENTLY ARE RUDE OR DON'T KNOW HOW TO INTERACT WITH CUSTOMERS, FIRE THEIR ASSES! how many people are waiting in line for a job? i'm sure of those, MOST know what manners are

Pa. Liquor Board Tries to Improve Workers' Manners
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) -- Pennsylvania liquor store clerks need to be more bubbly when they're selling Champagne.

The state's Liquor Control Board is spending more than $173,000 to try to make workers friendlier and more well-mannered at the nearly 650 stores it operates. The board says it wants to make sure clerks are saying ''hello,'' ''thank you'' and ''come again'' to customers shopping for wine and spirits.

It has hired Pittsburgh-based consulting firm Solutions 21 to help coach store managers so they can instruct their clerks on issues such as how to greet customers and where to stand. Training begins this month......

Yet another example of how I must be insane since nothing makes any sense to me. My work hired a similar group to have them make suggestions on how various departments could operate better. The group came back and said to buy more and newer equipment. My work paid them a lot of money then told us we had no money to buy new equipment. All along we told them the same thing the study group was paid to find out.
