because we have SO MANY people joining our military now, we can afford to kick out all sorts of people who are ALREADY TRAINED MILITARY PERSONNEL for the silliest of reasons........
When you look at this woman, what do you see? A young Air Force officer, maybe? Someone serving her country in the military? Someone who looks neat, polished, and put together? That's what I see.
But according to Treasured Locks, the military disagrees. This soldier, Kim Andrews, has been in the Air Force for seven years, but her mother says she's being threatened with a dishonorable discharge because of her hairstyle, which involves twisting her hair into cornrows, a style that's allowed in the Air Force. Dreadlocks aren't allowed, and apparently Kim's commander thinks they're dreadlocks.

This takes the absurd cake in a whole new way. My best guess is that Kim Andrews has somehow got assigned to a closet bigot. I say closet because the Air Force is the one service that from what i have heard has done the most to develop a more open work style since so much of what they do is more techincal.
you must be right because i think even my 80 year old pops knows the difference between cornrows and dreads
