"The very word “secrecy” is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as- John F. Kennedy
a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret
oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of
excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the
dangers which are cited to justify it."

INTERNATIONAL STRANGENESS DAY
thanks
it's a great speech and so timely, 45 years crystalizing.

yes cv rick,it indeed is a great speech
very interesting...
secrecy-free living and privacy are such similar things, but so different...the question is can you have both?

rc, of course you can have privacy . . . even moreso when the government keeps no secrets from the citizens. Privacy is for people, not for public institutions . . . governments and corporations are by definition public institutions, people are not.
i'll be with you on the 4th glenda
rc, i understand the need for SOME secrets (well not understand so much as accept) but i cannot accept ANYTHING from this regime. NADA. liars, war mongers, evil doers
dv rick, you go boy!
