i guess it's ok to be an illegal immigrant

if you're christian. hmmmmmmmmmmmm

(by the way my views - as if you needed me to state them - are; if you've HELPED americans, as in being a translator in iraq for example, OR if you're going to be tortured or put to death in y our home country, YOU SHOULD BE GIVEN ASYLUM in the united states. if you want to become a citizen you should be allowed to try)

‘You lie’ Wilson shows two faces on illegal immigration

By Kathleen Miller
The anti-illegal immigration movement is singing Congressman Joe Wilson’s praises, but the lawmaker who was rebuked by the House this week recently helped extend the stay of one of those very “illegals” the activists hope to remove from the country.

Hundreds of illegal immigration opponents are gathering in Washington right now for the annual Federation for Immigration Reform (FAIR) effort to lobby Congress for tighter border controls and other policies designed to keep undocumented immigrants out of the U.S.

This year, they’re making Wilson, a South Carolina Republican, their new poster boy after he famously shouted “You lie!” during President Obama’s speech on healthcare reform last week. Wilson’s outbust occurred as Obama was saying he has no intention of giving illegal immigrants access to health care benefits in his reform plan, and CNN personality and avowed anti-illegal immigration crusader Lou Dobbs is giving Wilson “great credit” for advancing the cause, per The Washington Independent and Politics Daily.

Wilson may have a conflict of interest, however. Two months before he heckled Obama, he introduced legislation to keep Sainey Fatty, an illegal immigrant from Gambia, in the country. Fatty came to the U.S. for school in the early ’90s and lived here for seven years while under a deportation order, according to his friend Bill Cook’s blog..........

a little tooting of my own horn nere - i was NOT agog

i don't know very much at all about him. i know a couple of things and i didn't like those things at all. then when i heard he was missing and no one knew where he was i rather smacked my forehead and said ''hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm". then they all knew he was on the 'appalachian trail' "hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm". I EFFING KNEW HE WAS OUT SOMEWHERE BOINKIN' SOMEONE (other than the missus that is). i've been on the appalachian trail and i knew damn well governor sanford was NOT on it (yeah, felt it in my bones).

by the way, it's NOT a republican thing. it's not a democratic thing. (although the republicans make a giant stink about the sanctity of marriage and how evil and sinful it is to cheat on your spouse (and most of 'em are doing it any damn way. lyin' weasels and no offense to weasels). it's a person (men usually, unfortunately) of power thing. no one gives a flying fuck if a person of 'lesser consequence' gets caught cheating. it's no big deal. BUT A PERSON OF POWER. wow! we all go apeshite. well, i for one have this theory. what you ask is it? i'll tell you. MOST (not all) MOST men in power have someone on the side

agog indeed. if after hearing the lame-ass excuses about the lame ass gov you didn't get an inkling of what he actually was doing, you are NOT on my christmas card list

SC agog over Gov. Sanford's confession of affair
By SUSANNE M. SCHAFER
The Associated Press

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Gov. Mark Sanford has always painted himself as a family man, a red state conservative whose annual Christmas cards featured pictures of his wife and their four sons.

So when he tearfully confessed a yearlong affair with a woman he visited on a secret trip to Argentina, reaction ranged from embarrassment over his behavior to pity for his family. But there was a common theme: surprise that the man named as a possible 2012 GOP presidential contender had been cheating on his wife.

"I was shocked, shocked," said Tom Daly, 42, a magazine editor in Charleston. "First of all, he's a Republican golden boy and he's a strict, staunch conservative. I'm so shocked. It was something I did not expect."............

not to worry though, faux 'news' is setting us straight (ONCE AGAIN)!!!!

Fox flubs again, declares Sanford a 'Democrat'

SC first to get 'I Believe' license plates

Bills allow SC residents to get 'I Believe' license plates, pray at meetings

SEANNA ADCOX

South Carolina's lieutenant governor announced Thursday that he is willing to put up $4,000 of his own money so his state can become the first in the nation to issue "I Believe" license plates with the image of a cross and a stained glass window.

The legislation allowing the plates was one of several religious-themed bills to became laws in the closing days of the state's legislative session.

The bills mean South Carolinians attending local government meetings could soon see the Ten Commandments and the Lord's Prayer posted on walls, pray without fear of being sued and drive home in cars with the "I Believe" plates.

Civil rights groups are considering lawsuits. An attorney for the New York-based American Jewish Congress, Mark Stern, said the bills are an obvious endorsement of religion by legislators in an election year. His group is looking to sue over the plates.

Gov. Mark Sanford allowed the license plate bill to become law without his signature, noting the state already has a process to allow special plates for any cause as long as enough people come together and put up the money needed to buy them
