Top White House aide Rove resigns
Top White House aide Karl Rove has said he will resign at the end of August.
"I just think it's time," Mr Rove said in an interview for the Wall Street Journal, adding that he was quitting for the sake of his family.
Mr Rove is a senior political adviser to President George W Bush and has worked with him for more than a decade.
As Mr Bush's chief strategist, he is seen as instrumental in delivering two presidential and several congressional election victories for the Republicans. ........

Good riddance, but the damage has already been done. I still hold out hope that the congress will investigate this fucker, bring charges, try him, and send him to prison.
Saw is little goodbye speech today and almost lost my rice crispy treat that I was eating. Rove boy will not be taking it easy, he will be pulling out all his dirty tricks and creating a few more to pull the repubs chestnuts out of the 2008 fire. And I'll be damned that the democrats are helping as much as they can by still bending over every time Bush says so. I hope they get a group rate on new harder spines sometime soon.
Don't jump for joy yet. He is really going nowhere. It's just to take some of the heat off Der Fuhrer, that's the only reason he's supposedly resigning.
