You know, that was the very thing i thought of when i read that article yesterday. Somehow i don't even think it's a question of great minds thinking alike. Average ones should be coming to this conclusion by now as well. Now if we could just get the average voices to scream their heads off, maybe something more would happen, like say the ousting of the village idiot.
The really bad news is that the price tag for this might end up four or five times the current amount before we either leave Iraq on our own or get kicked out. Then we are looking at longterm physical and mental care for the veterans. The purchase of needed replacement equipment not just for the active army but national Guard to respond to disasters. And this is a very short list.
I find him more akin to the character in Superman comics called Bizzaro(I think thats the spelling) which is a twisted "clone" of Superman where everthing it does is pretty much backward to reality and commonsense.

i have always liked sci fi. this man, the king and the whole rest of his court are living and breathing in an alternate universe
