Gingrich: I had affair during Clinton impeachment

Potential Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich admitted in an interview with conservative Christian group Focus on the Family that he had an extramarital affair even while leading the charge to have President Clinton impeached.
"The honest answer is yes," he said
according to the Associated Press. "There are times that I have fallen short of my own standards. There's certainly times when I've fallen short of God's standards."
"Gingrich argued in the interview, however, that he should not be viewed as a hypocrite for pursuing Clinton's infidelity," writes the AP................

Okay, given the recent statements Newt has made plus this one if by some god-awful chance he ended up in the White House I know I would leave the country as some as he took the oath of ofice.

I never cease to be amazed by the hypocrisy of the right wing.

all three of you are missing the point! NEWT SAYS HE IS NOT a hypocrite! that is MY personal favorite. HE DOES NOT think he is. HE doesn't think he is on the level with others who have done such things. he is ABOVE all of that. AND a bunch of other people believe him (apparently). fine upstanding man that newt is!
