I don't think John Mayer is gay or even just a Republican. Does his music suck? Well... some people-- including straights and Democrats and independents-- love it. On the other hand, you probably never heard of Donnie Davies, who is gay (or was, if you believe the hype) and is a Republican and does suck; so does his music.
