good news: more new iraqi soldiers graduate - bad news: they refuse to serve

the washington post today tells the story of just how ready the iraqis ARE to serve in their own military. yeah right. they are WELL prepared to take over 'defending' their own country.....

what THE F**K are we doing? WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT???

get our men and women home. yeah, we stirred up a hornet's nest and i do think we owe iraq something for what we did (and are doing) BUT get them home as soon as possible. their lives are in danger more so with each passing day

They got the training and are now more able and prepared to defend their homes.

To ask them to defend other parts of Iraq is silly. Don't you know there are roving gangs called Death Squads? Don't you know there are roadside bombs and suicide bombers? Don't you know that 'wrong place - wrong time' gets you right in the center of an airstrike by your great ally - The U.S.of A?

That's all dangerous. Better to stay home and poke your rifle from your bedroom window.

It is a civil war if we stay and will be a bloodbath when we leave. Bush set up a screwed if you stay, screwed if you leave situation. Remember the bad end in Viet Nam?

While the United States suffered serious losses -- more than 58,000 of its military killed and billions of dollars spent -- Vietnam's losses were staggering. More than 3 million Vietnamese died during the American war, with at least that many wounded. More than 15 million Vietnamese, Cambodians and Laotians became refugees.

There is no good ending and now the Taliban are taking over Southern Afghanistan even as we contemplate going into Iran.
Where is the accountability?

at any rate, more police officers were just killed more new military graduates (in their OWN province i might add) killed.
