beautiful work

a friend of mine sent me this link some time ago (thanks andrea). andy goldsworthy British artist Andy Goldsworthy is well known for creating sculptures in the landscape using natural materials such as leaves, ice, snow, wood and stone.
What's interesting about Goldworthy's work is that because he uses such natural materials, his sculptures are all temporary. He photographs each piece as soon as he's finished making it so that it is forever captured on camera at its most majestic before the elements gradually erode them............

i don't know but i'll bet there are lots of misses before he gets his 'hits'. he does lots of archwork. that to me is difficult in itself
