oh it's important all right. all of these town hall 'protesters' feel the SAME way sodini did. (well most of them do). all of the 'news' casters on cable that whip up the right wing ravers feel this way. it's the tip of the iceberg. i have a feeling we ain't seen NOTHING yet. i pray (literally) i am wrong

Two related news stories, one you couldn’t miss, and the other you almost couldn’t find: a gunman opened fire on a women’s exercise class last night at a fitness center in the Pittsburgh area, and this same gunman kept a diary filled with racist rants, some directed explicitly at President Obama. Again, coverage of the incident itself, including the fact of a diary, was all but universal; but only today did the folks at Editor & Publisher point out that the AP and others had ignored the clearly anti-Obama aspects of the diary..................

more to show you how hateful he was of women. more to show you what kinds of books he was reading (i know sometimes we read books JUST to understand another's point of view. i don't think this was true in sodini's case though. he was reading about men owning women because that's what he would have LIKED to happen in his life). i guess even a fake tan couldn't help him

oh, one more thing. my mother was domineering too. i just became MORE domineering. some thinghappened in my life i don't talk about (too much). it happened when i was younger. it is something that could have effected my relationships for the rest of my life (well, it still does but i do NOT let it get the better of me). what i chose to do though is to USE my experiences to help others out of the muck and murk. i didn't use it to HURT anyone else

As George Sodini wrote on December 29, 2008, "Just got back from tanning, been doing this for a while. No gym today, my elbow is sore again. I actually look good. I dress good, am clean-shaven, bathe, touch of cologne - yet 30 million women rejected me - over an 18 or 25-year period."

On Tuesday August 4th, 2009, computer systems analyst Sodini walked into a Pittsburgh gym, pulled guns out of a duffle bag, turned off the lights, and sprayed bullets into a LA Fitness Center woman's aerobics class of roughly thirty, killing three. The leader of the class, who had just announced that she was pregnant, was wounded along with at least eight others, some of whom were shot multiple times.

Media analysis has so far ignored or glossed over Sodini's religious affiliations but the shooter's Internet diary suggest his last readings were the Bible and a book by a Texas evangelist, R.B. Thieme, Jr. who has written that husbands own their wives, as literal property and promoted an odd teaching that for each man on Earth there exists only one correct "right woman" in all creation...............

i'm guessing they hated him as well. i would have. i do. i hate him for killing. i hate him for killing innocents. he appears to have been a misogynist and a racist. two qualities that really ARE a tipoff one is NOT on a good path.


George Sodini's blog tells of years of rejection by women before gym shooting

George Sodini, an unhappy loner whose rambling website postings indicated he felt spurned by women burst into a female aerobics class, turned the lights off and opened fire, killing three and injuring nine.

Sodini, 48, fired as many as 52 shots into a "Latin impact" dance class at the LA Fitness gym outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before committing suicide. He walked in, placed a duffel bag on the ground and paused for a few moments before pulling two guns out.

A web page he apparently created contained a diary chronicling years of rejection by women and an earlier plan for an outrage at the gym which he said he "chickened out" of. Neighbours described him as strange and anti-social............

(p.s. neighbours AND FRIENDS TOO for that matter would describe ME as strange and anti-social too. i do NOT own a gun nor will i ever own a gun. i do NOT want to kill anyone. i do NOT want t0 hurt anyone. being strange and/or anti-social isn't necessarily a path to being a murderer is my point)

AP, other news outlets omit killer’s racist diary rants

George Sodini, the man who took the lives of four women, and then his own, at a Pittsburgh-area fitness club Wednesday, leaves behind a long history of right-wing anti-government militancy.

In political rants on the Internet, going back to the early days of the Web, Sodini showed a consistently anti-government attitude. As first reported by Greg Mitchell at his Huffington Post blog, in the mid-1990s Sodini posted to a newsgroup titled misc.activism.militia, where right-wing libertarians and survivalists compared notes on the state of politics, and made plans for upending the “socialist” policies of the Clinton White House. Sodini appeared to support a violent overthrow of the US government in order to return the country to its “Constitutional order.”

“I am convinced that more drastic action is required to bring the country back to the Constitutional order that it was 200 years ago,” Sodini wrote at the newsgroup. “I don’t think any group of political leaders will achieve this for us.”................

George Sodini, the 48-year-old man police blame for killing three women and wounding 10 others in a suburban Pittsburgh gym, left behind an online diary that is as shocking in places as it is profane in others.

It offers a rare glimpse into the mind of a suspected killer who police say walked into an aerobics class, turned off the lights and fired more than 50 rounds from multiple handguns.
