i didn't read about his racist rants in the msm. did you?

oh it's important all right. all of these town hall 'protesters' feel the SAME way sodini did. (well most of them do). all of the 'news' casters on cable that whip up the right wing ravers feel this way. it's the tip of the iceberg. i have a feeling we ain't seen NOTHING yet. i pray (literally) i am wrong

National Press Omits Racist, Anti-Obama Aspects of PA Fitness Center Shooter’s Diary

Two related news stories, one you couldn’t miss, and the other you almost couldn’t find: a gunman opened fire on a women’s exercise class last night at a fitness center in the Pittsburgh area, and this same gunman kept a diary filled with racist rants, some directed explicitly at President Obama. Again, coverage of the incident itself, including the fact of a diary, was all but universal; but only today did the folks at Editor & Publisher point out that the AP and others had ignored the clearly anti-Obama aspects of the diary..................

NEW YORK An extensive and unusual correction appears in The New York Times Magazine arriving this Sunday. One question that arises: Why did it take so long?

The correction reveals that a very short piece in the magazine's December 14, 2008, issue -- about experiment involving crows at the Binghamton (N.Y.) zoo -- was wildly inaccurate and exaggerated, and the newspaper's fact-checker failed to make essential inquiries. As usual it does not name the reporter, who was freelancer Claire Trageser..........

our troops

AND their families deserve nothing LESS than the TRUTH. our citizens deserve nothing less than the truth as well. why does the military feel they must lie to the families of our dead troops? it's not only disrespectful it's just plain WRONG

NEW YORK For five years now, E&P has been chronicling the disturbing number of “noncombat” deaths in Iraq, often suicides, which usually come to light only due to the diligence of local newspapers. As part of that effort, last August I briefly described yet another case, involving a 20-year-old Texas woman named Kamisha Block, who apparently was much loved in her Vidor hometown. It was said to be death by “friendly fire,” which officially is fairly rare in Iraq, so I kept an eye on it for days, in case of an update. ...........

Forget friendly fire. It turns out that Spc. Block was actually murdered, and the killer, another soldier, Staff Sgt. Brandon Norris, then turned the gun on himself. .,
