i've eliminated white sugar (and non-whole grains as well) from my diet. i'm NOT on a health kick by any means. i am just looking for a change. i'm addicted to sweet (not as much as fat and salt though. however, it seems easier to give the fat up than the sweet). i drink black unsweeted coffee but when i have tea i need it sweet. except for the stevia, all of these have calories and they are all sweet. your body just happens to break them down differently (at least the brown rice syrup and the agave) i made some kick ass tapioca pudding too with soy milk, maple syrup, brown rice syrup, raisins, pistachios, slivered almonds, chopped dates, a bit of arrowroot and GIANT pearl tapioca. i had that craving.
