'Joe the Plumber' says journalists should be 'abolished' from war coverage

Nick Cargo
On Sunday, conservative media barnacle and McCain campaign relic Samuel "Joe" Wurzelbacher took time out of his new job as a war correspondent for Pajamas TV to tell the very people who were filming him that they shouldn't be allowed to cover war:

"I'll be honest with you: I don't think journalists should be anywhere allowed war. (sic) I mean, you guys report where our troops are at. You report what's happening day to day. You make a big deal out of it. I think it's asinine. You know, I liked back in World War I and World War II when you'd go to the theater and you'd see your troops on, you know, the screen and everyone would be real excited and happy for 'em.

what a f**kwad

they KNOW he's a f**kwad, we KNOW he's a f**kwad, yet they keep having him on news shows. he's not informed, he's bordering on stupid AND dangerous (could he be a plant all along? i'm sort of wondering that.) at any rate, why give stock to this schmuck? i don't BUT faux news of all sources says he's a schmuck (my words not theirs). wow, are pigs (with lipstick) flying?

Fox host berates 'Joe the Plumber' after McCain surrogate says Obama vote means 'death to Israel'
David Edwards and Nick Juliano
The all-out effort from John McCain's presidential campaign to scare voters into backing the Republican candidate continued apace on Tuesday as McCain surrogate Joe the Plumber agreed that a Barack Obama presidency would mean the "death of Israel" and end democracy in America.

The Ohio plumber, who has no license and is actually named Samuel Wurzelbacher, spoke at a McCain campaign event in Columbus Monday. A McCain supporter asked if "a vote for Obama is a vote for the death of Israel." JTP hardly batted an eye.

"I'll go ahead and agree with you on that," Wurzelbacher said.

The push-back against Wurzelbacher's comments began, somewhat unexpectedly, at Fox News.

The network noted that the McCain campaign seemed hesitant to distance itself from Wurzelbacher. Correspondent Carl Cameron said that the McCain campaign was going to put out an ad today criticizing Obama policies on Israel.

"Just a coincidence?" he asked. "We report you decide."

i don't normally watch john mccain's speeches

but yesterday i was in a jam. i did a might of damage to my car and i was stuck in a repair shop's waiting room with cnn on the tv. john mccain was ALL over it. i can't even tell you how many times he invoked joe the plumber . why? i can't tell you. it was MORE than annoying

some blame the democrats for vetting joe MORE than ANYONE vetted sarevil. nope, i don't blame democrats. i DO blame the msm. i really didn't care about joe the plumber UNTIL joe started opening his trap and appearing here, there and everywhere. if you're gonna dance joe, EFFING PAY THE PIPER. EVERYONE knows that. so to me, he is now fair game. if he is seeking the spotlight, he better have nothing to hide.

so, he's NOT a licensed plumber
he OWES back taxes
and now it seems he has a suspended license (in a state he used to reside in)

WAY TO GO JOE!

Joe the Plumber's' AZ driver license suspended

Daniel Newhauser, For the Tribune

A plumbing license is not the only license "Joe the Plumber" is having troubles with. The former Mesa resident has a suspended driver's license and outstanding court fines in Arizona, according to Mesa Municipal Court records.

"Joe," whose real name is Samuel J. Wurzelbacher, was referred to more than 20 times by Republican Sen. John McCain in Wednesday night's presidential debate for questioning Democratic Sen. Barack Obama's tax policy.

The man portrayed by McCain to be the typical, hardworking American revealed this week that he actually does not have a plumbing license, and now court records show he should not have a driver's license either, making it potentially even harder for him to get to work.

Wurzelbacher, who lived in Mesa in 2000 and had an Arizona driver's license, had his driver's license suspended by the Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division on May 4, 2000, following a nonpayment of a court-imposed fine for civil traffic violations, according to court records.

America's new political icon, who owes nearly $1,200 in back taxes, according to public records, still owes more than $700 to the Mesa court system.

Records show he was cited for failure to stop at a red light and for failure to provide proof of insurance on Feb. 9, 2000, in a black Dodge truck at the intersection of Dobson and Baseline roads in Mesa........

oh and for the record,

I DO NOT OWE ANY BACK TAXES

I HAVE NEVER HAD MY LICENSE SUSPENDED

I HAVE ALWAYS PAYED MY TICKETS (i've only ever gotten parking tickets, leaving my car on the street overnight. NEVER for not paying at a meter or anything like that)

but in all fairness, i too am NOT a licensed plumber

the rude pundit

calls it as it lays (or lies in this case)

Poor Joe the Plumber Is Too Dumb to Just Shut the Fuck Up:
Watching Samuel J. Wurzelbacher, the man known to all by his nom de McCain, "Joe the Plumber," negotiate the media is not unlike watching feeding time at a particularly savage zoo, the kind that doesn't hide the way animals actually behave. Maybe it's the moment that a big, juicy, live rat is put in a tank with a boa constrictor that's not immediately hungry. That cute, white, furry bastard might think it's gonna be able to survive this, but, sure as hell, once that snake gets an appetite, it's down the gullet for Ratso due to no other reason than that's the way it's gotta be.

To complete this analogy, Wurzelbacher appeared on that Fox "news" model of journalistic ethics, Hannity and (to a lesser extent) Colmes. In two lines early in the interview, Wurzelbacher pretty much destroyed whatever sad little argument he might have had about why the rich shouldn't pay more taxes. Sean Hannity, who was practically humping the desk at the thought, asked Wurzelbacher of Barack Obama's tax plan, "Why do you view this as 'socialism,' because that's the word you used?"
