Right fears secret abortions for 13-year-olds in reform

By Alex Koppelman

Wednesday night brought the latest installment of everyone's favorite political drama: "Michele Bachmann tries to warn Americans about a threat that isn't real." Speaking on the floor of the House of Representatives, the Minnesota Republican warned parents everywhere that if Democrats' healthcare reform legislation passes, school clinics will become controlled by Planned Parenthood and turned into sex clinics that promote abortions free of parental consent for 13-year-old girls (video of Bachmann's comments is below).
Bachmann said:
And written in this bill is a provision whereby Planned Parenthood could become a proprietor for school-based clinics in every school across United States. These have been more accurately called school sex clinics ... And as a matter of fact, the bill goes on to say what's going to go on -- comprehensive primary health services, physicals, treatment of minor acute medical conditions, referrals to follow-up for specialty care -- is that abortion? Does that mean that someone's 13 year-old daughter could walk into a sex clinic, have a pregnancy test done, be taken away to the local Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, have their abortion, be back and go home on the school bus that night? Mom and dad are never the wiser...

because i like bill moyers

and after all this is all about ME, i think we should ALL read this:

Bill Moyers: Conservative Radicals and the Politics of Vengeance
By Bill Moyers, Bill Moyers Journal

Editor's note: In the following interview, Bill Moyers and powerhouse NYT editor and author of "The Death of Conservatism Sam Tanenhaus discuss the last gasps of the conservative movement. Tanenhaus says that far from signifying a resurgence of conservative ideals, the Tea Party protesters and shock jocks like Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh spell the doom of the conservative movement. The interview starts with some scenes from journalist Max Blumenthal's video of last weekend's right-wing protests in Washington. Check out the video, which features exclusive footage of the Tea Party protesters that swarmed the Capitol, at the end of this article.

BILL MOYERS: Conservatives were out in force in Washington last weekend. They had come to express their opposition to big government, to taxes and wasteful spending, and health care reform they fear would lead to a nightmare of bureaucracy. Max Blumenthal, author of REPUBLICAN GOMORRAH waded into their midst to sample opinions.

MAX BLUMENTHAL: So you're saying if the government eliminates Social Security and Medicare then you'll get out of the program?

WOMAN: No, I said if they get out of my life.

MAX BLUMENTHAL: Out of your Social Security and-

WOMAN: No, out of everything.

BILL MOYERS: But they had also come to deplore and denounce President Obama- in their minds a tyrant akin to Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, and Saddam Hussein.

MAN: I'm afraid he's going to do what Hitler could never do and that's destroy the United States of America.

MAX BLUMENTHAL: And what's the Obama revolution, what's going to happen?

MAN: Similar to Germany, like what Hitler did. He took over the auto industry, did he not? He took over the banking, did he not? And Hitler had his own personal secret service police, Acorn is an extension of that. ...............

i want to stop posting about shite like this

but the woman is CRYING. she thinks obama is the devil. she thinks her kid will turn into a black gay socialist within seconds of hearing the president's voice. W T F ???????????????

really. it is SO absurd. who knew ALL of these people existed anyway?

Right-wing mom so upset about Obama's pro-education speech, she cries on CNN
-- Stephen C. Webster

Think the "debate" over President Obama's planned pro-education speech to students had already crossed the line into absurdity?

Think again.

This video is from CNN, broadcast Friday, Sept. 4, 2009.

The poor woman who started crying as visions of "brainwashing" and "socialism" flashed before her eyes is a classic example of the mental and emotional trauma being inflicted on many Americans by propagandists out to score political points however they can, even by manufacturing utter nonsense. These individuals exist, of course, on all the political fringes, but seem to be especially reverberating among the right-wing constituency right now.

Suddenly, "go to school," "read books" and "college is good" becomes endless rows of brain-dead underlings, forcibly jacked-in to the Matrix and being reprogrammed by wicked television sciences, ready to goose-step toward, uh, something. Doctors perhaps? No, better to go with socialism........
